What this means
A ROAS of 4× means every $1 of ad spend returned $4 in revenue. The number alone doesn't tell you whether that's good — a 4× ROAS is excellent at a 50% gross margin and a loss at a 10% margin. What matters is ROAS against your own economics.
That's why the calculator also shows the revenue you'd need for a target ROAS at your current spend. If the gap is large, the lever isn't always "spend more" — it can be cheaper clicks, better conversion rates, or cutting the campaigns that drag the average down. Those are exactly the trade-offs Adsevon's analysis surfaces, campaign by campaign.
Questions about this tool
What is ROAS?
ROAS (return on ad spend) is the revenue earned for every dollar spent on advertising. A ROAS of 4× means $4 of revenue for every $1 of ad spend. It is calculated as revenue ÷ ad spend.
What is a good ROAS?
It depends on your margins. A 4× ROAS is excellent at a 50% gross margin but loses money at a 10% margin. The only ROAS target that matters is your own break-even ROAS — 1 divided by your gross margin.
Is ROAS the same as ROI?
No. ROAS measures revenue against ad spend only; ROI measures profit against total investment. ROAS ignores costs of goods sold and overhead, so it always looks higher than ROI for the same campaign.
Why does my ROAS differ between platforms?
Each platform attributes conversions differently — different lookback windows, different models, and double-counting across platforms are common. Compare platforms with consistent attribution, ideally measured in one place.
One number isn't the whole picture
A calculator tells you where you stand. Adsevon — an advertising intelligence and optimization platform — watches your campaigns continuously, finds the spend that isn't pulling its weight, and prioritizes what to fix next, with the evidence attached.
